More Power…Improved Fuel Efficiency…Quicker Starts…Protection Against Wear…Reduced Maintenance Costs…Ruby Fieldmaster and Roadmaster XL Put You Miles Ahead!

High Plains Cooperative only offers Cenex branded premium diesel fuels and gasoline. Ruby Fieldmaster and Roadmaster XL premium diesel fuels are amongst the top in the industry, providing you with ultimate performance and engine protection.

We offer Ruby Fieldmaster and Roadmaster XL with 2% soy (called B2). Not only are we a believer in giving back to our member-farmers, but with lower sulfur regulations being imposed, diesel fuel is losing its lubricity component. By adding 2% soy, the lubricity of Ruby Fieldmaster and Roadmaster XL is increased by 60%!

Why use Ruby Fieldmaster or Roadmaster XL premium diesel fuels over a plain #2 fuel?

A true premium diesel fuel has a higher cetane number, better lubricity and injector-cleaning capability versus a plain #2 fuel. Cetane number measures a fuel’s ignition delay. Higher cetane rating equals a shorter delay and better ignition quality for quicker start-ups and less pollution. Lubricity is friction reduction, which extends the life of the fuel pump and reduces downtime. Detergents clean your fuel system and keep it clean for optimum heavy equipment, engine performance.

Moreover, over time an engine’s fuel pump and injectors get dirty – a gradual, hard-to-notice process that reduces both engine performance and fuel economy. Plain #2 fuel contains no additives to reduce wear, extend storage life, or reduce the formation of gum, varnish and corrosion, but Cenex Ruby Fieldmaster and Roadmaster XL does!

Ruby Fieldmaster and Roadmaster XL have a complete additive package formulated expressly for the rugged demands of your diesel equipment. Moreover, the blending of the additive package with the diesel fuel occurs at the terminal, to ensure accurate measurements and proper blending.

What Makes Ruby Fieldmaster and Roadmaster XL a premium diesel fuel?

Feature

What is it?
What does it do
How does it help your vehicle's engine
2% Soy biodiesel Biodiesel made from soybeans grown by American Farmers • Dramatically increases the lubricity of diesel fuel
• Reduces particulate matter, carbon monoxide and other hazardous emissions
• Better lubricity means longer engine life
• Supports American soybean markets
• Reduces foreign oil dependency
Cetane A measure of diesel engine start-ability. Similar to octane in a gasoline engine. • Promotes quicker, more fuel-efficient starts
• Helps the engine run smoother
• Reduces pollution
• Reduces strain on engines and electrical systems
• Promotes longer engine life, less maintenance and reduced downtime
Detergents Fuel system cleaning additive • Cleans dirty fuel injectors
• Keeps injectors clean for optimum engine performance
• Increases engine efficiency, because more of the fuel is being burned
• Provides optimum fuel economy, horsepower and engine life
• Reduces fuel and maintenance costs
Lubricity Components Soy and other friction-reducing agents • Reduces friction and wear on the fuel pump
• Extends fuel pump life
• Saves cost of pump repair due to wear
• Reduces downtime
• Soy has ecological benefits and provides a market for soy growers
Demulsifiers Additives that force water (from condensation during storage) to the bottom of the tank • Isolates water for easy removal
• Prevents water from going through the fuel system, where it combines with sulfur to form sulfuric acid, which corrodes engine parts
• Easily remove water from storage tank
• Saves on injector wear
• Replace fuel filters less often
• Avoid algae formation in storage tanks
Corrosion Inhibitors Corrosion and rust inhibitors • Prevents corrosion and rust from forming inside the fuel pump • Saves the cost of rebuilding the injection pump
• Extends pump life
Stabilizers Agents to prevent formation of gum, varnish and sludge during storage • Prevents gum and varnish buildup, which can clog and collect in the fuel pump and injector • Store diesel fuel longer, so you can take advantage of pre-season buying opportunities
• Replace fuel filters less often
• Less maintenance costs

CleanGard Gasoline

Our C-Stores in Plainview and Houston offers premium grade gasoline with 10% ethanol. Moreover, 93 Octane gasoline for performance vehicles is offered as well as E-85 gasonline at Plainview.
