Out-Of-Gas Policy Out of Gas Policy Any time your propane gas tank becomes empty, you are faced with a potentially dangerous situation. It is required that High Plains Cooperative completes a full inspection of your propane gas system and tank when this situation occurs. Following the safety inspection, it is required that you have us re-light your pilot lights in your dwelling to make sure your propane gas system is functioning properly. This inspection must be done, and your system must be in working order, before any gas will be delivered. If an out-of-gas inspection is completed, your account will be charged $60.00 for the inspection and additional costs for any needed labor or parts. We ask that someone is home or the door is left unlocked. If we cannot complete the inspection, we will not leave any propane gas and will charge you for our visit. Please understand, your safety is very important to us. To help insure your safety, we must follow these procedures. Ask about our Keep-Full program to avoid this charge.
